We are looking for used high end cycling shoes to evaluate.

One way for us to provide better products is to benchmark existing products and learn from the good and bad points of these products. With this data, combined with our own innovations and craft, we will keep optimising products to provide zero compromise to you the user.

We are giving away a pair of cycling socks or a t shirt to five lucky people who can supply us with suitable cycling shoes for our research.

Use the contact us page to get in touch with us if you would like to donate some shoes to science. We'll post picks and information on the blog when we have done some tests.

New Off-The-Shelf shoes on their way to the world Champs

After many hours nose to the grind-stone and many long days we are on the verge of releasing our new off-the-shelf super lightweight super stiff ready-to-wear road shoe range.

Raoul will be heading down to the Men's TT with some Prototypes to garnish feedback and drum up interest in the new design. Keep an eye out for him around the course and on the bouwmeester stand.

We will be heading down on sunday also with more info and samples

59 reasons not to use buckles on cycling shoes

BMC Racing Team’s Cadel Evans, the current International Cycling Union World Road Champion, had a tough start to his first race on home shores in the rainbow jersey. Evans was amongst the many caught up in a crash before the race had barely began, the consequence of which was some handy on the road repair work to his shoe using electrical tape.

cadel's shoe was damaged in the crash and he finished the stage in 59th position.

buckles and crashes don't mix.

In the picture below it is evident that the top strap on cadels right shoe has been held together with black electrical tape.

we recommend laces or velcro, they don't break as easily.

SCODY Open Road Champs TT

What a cracker of a day yesterday! The sun was shining on Buninyong and the riders were out in force. We were there to spread the word of our new developments and to Support Drew. Whilst The result wasn't all that Drew had hoped for, he finished sixth in the open elite mens TT, considering all the factors it was a great performance and one we congratulate him for. It was a good group of riders at the pointy end of the leaders board and to acheive a result like this in his second 'official' TT event is an outstanding acheivement.

On a lighter note Drew was clocked at 79km/h on the descent of Gear avanue, the fastest of any rider during the day (check out the cycling news website for more photo's of the action yesterday). If only he could have kept that pace through the first part of the ride! Looking forward to the road race on sunday!
